BASIC PRINCIPLES IN EACH PROGRAM :

There are six (6) different programs offered at EHC. Although the specific content of the various programs may vary depending on group ability and age, they share many common elements :

  • Six hours a day (or more) of hockey training (50% off-ice);
  • Emphasis on inter-personal and team dynamics;
  • Constant supervision by staff;
  • Special assistance to students with learning difficulties;
  • Instruction in English or French;
  • Fitness training programs specially designed for hockey players;
  • Information on proper nutrition and hygiene;
  • Individual evaluations and a personalized videocassette for each student at the end of the program;
  • Individual and group feedback sessions using videotapes;
  • A sports philosophy based on fair-play and respect;
  • Body-building sessions for Bantam and Midget categories.
